The Intent of your Hobby Greenhouse
What you’ll need to ask yourself prior to buying is, “What function will my greenhouse serve?” Will you want one simply for starting seeds in early spring to get a leap on your spring planting? How many seeds do you expect to be planting every year? Will a smaller portable greenhouse serve your intentions? Or would you need a larger hobby greenhouse, one where you will be able to overwinter your tropic plants and maintain warmer temperatures throughout the freezing temperatures of winter. Are you needing to go all out and buy a glass greenhouse like the big boys use? Would you ever genuinely use that size hobby greenhouse to it’s broadest extent? It is always better to exhaustively go through all of these questions and more to make up your mind which size hobby greenhouse will work best for your intentions.
Locating your Hobby Greenhouse
Where will I set up my greenhouse? You do not really have much allowance in your decision as to where to locate it if you’re going to be affording it the optimal location, of which is the south to south-east side of any other buildings at your greenhouse site placement. Your biggest worry in positioning your greenhouse should be making plans that your hobby greenhouse receives optimal wintertime sunshine. You’ve made some important greenhouse purchasing decisions, deliberated long and hard about purchasing a hobby greenhouse and have now come to the conclusion that you are ready to purchase a hobby greenhouse. Where do you start? You’re not going to like the answer. More research! There are a lot of companies selling their merchandise and some are high quality and you will pay a premium price for that quality.
